Application for studio space in Firepit Art Gallery and Studios CIC.

We currently have space for 2 new artists, which we are aiming to fill by February 2025. 

We do not have conventional studio spaces. Firepit currently exists within a space that started its life as a high end restaurant. The whole building is open plan, it includes a gallery, a large table for workshops and a smaller space that we use for events. We have a licensed bar that is used for fund raising at specific events. We currently host 9 resident creatives, who all have their own areas as studio space.  Everything is fluid here, things can change quickly and as a group of people we adjust. We have a very unique, diverse group of people that use the space, it is one of the things that defines us. 

We are a community interest company, we run as a non-profit. We do many workshops and events here, a portion of them are specific to the local community, we actively support the building of the vibrant community we live in. This part of us runs as a social enterprise organisation. As a CIC and social enterprise, we are committed to reinvesting our profits back into the community, ensuring sustainable and lasting impact. We very much believe in building a healthier, more vibrant neighbourhood, where the power of creativity becomes a catalyst for positive transformation and well-being for all.

Studio spaces here are offered to the right person. We do not charge a monetary amount, instead we have an agreement to give back in time. This is to help with the running of the gallery and all of the events and workshop that we put on. It will mean helping out on some evenings and weekends each month.
